Maldives Ports Limited has reported steady cargo activity at the port during the week of 01–07 March 2026.
The port handled 2,322 TEUs of containers during the week. A total of 1,199 TEUs were unloaded, while 1,123 TEUs were loaded.
The port also recorded vessel movements during the period. Two container vessels and seven general cargo vessels arrived, while three container vessels and ten general cargo vessels departed.
Cargo clearance also remained active. The port cleared 30,521.28 FT of container cargo and 3,096.64 FT of general cargo, including 1,105 container consignments and 429 general cargo consignments.
The port also handled shipments of perishable goods during the week. This included 15,555 eggs, 4,018 bananas, 7,143 watermelons, 1,512 pineapples, and 4,077 tomatoes.
In total, 78,620 packages of perishables were cleared during the period.
