Malé Commercial Harbour has handled 2,249 TEUs of container cargo during the week, with 1,495 TEUs unloaded and 754 TEUs loaded. A total of three container vessels and nine general cargo vessels called at the port.
Cargo clearance stayed high. Authorities cleared 29,982.84 FT of container cargo and 2,844.5 FT of general cargo, across 1,100 container consignments and 505 general cargo consignments.
Perishable imports also surged, with 97,862 packages cleared. Major items included:
