Phase 2 of the Malé North Side Boduthakurufaanu Road Development Project has reached 87% completion, marking a major milestone in the upgrade of the capital’s road network.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed sub-base works, while ABC laying is now 80% complete. Full completion of sub-base works is expected today.
Asphalt works are set to begin later this week. Crews are also carrying out concrete works at the harbour-side loading and unloading area, alongside the installation of light posts and road signboards.
The project aims to improve accessibility in Malé by delivering modern, safe, and pedestrian-friendly roads along the city’s north side.
