Greater Bay Airlines has launched charter services to the Maldives, expanding air connectivity with the East Asian region.
The airline’s inaugural flight, HB2500, landed at Velana International Airport today and was welcomed with a traditional water salute. A total of 174 passengers arrived on the first service.
Greater Bay Airlines will operate direct charter flights between Hong Kong and Malé using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, adding new capacity from East Asia.
With the launch, the airline becomes the second carrier to offer direct air services between Hong Kong and the Maldives, underlining strong demand from the market.
