Maldives Zakat House has launched the Fitr Portal to streamline cash Fitr Zakat collection ahead of Ramadan, catering to Zakat payers who are not familiar with online payments.
The portal strengthens the system for collecting cash Fitr Zakat through local councils and the Zakat House. It allows real-time monitoring of cash collections and provides accurate daily totals alongside online payments.
Zakat House said the consolidated data will support the timely and fair distribution of Fitr Zakat to eligible beneficiaries across the islands at the end of Ramadan, in accordance with Shari’ah.
The initiative reflects Zakat House’s efforts to improve accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in Zakat administration nationwide.
