The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has warned that the Maldives is experiencing haze in the central atolls, with conditions expected to persist for the next two days.
In a post on X, HPA cited information from the Maldives Meteorological Service, which confirmed reduced visibility and poor air quality in affected areas. The agency urged the public to take precautionary measures, especially people with respiratory conditions, the elderly, and children.
HPA advised limiting outdoor activities and following health guidance during the haze period.
