President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is set to deliver keynotes about Maldives’ fight against climate change at At Humboldt University at Berlin on 11 February.

Speaking at Humboldt, he will outline how the Maldives tackles rising sea levels and other climate impacts. His speech, titled “Climate Change Without Borders: Lessons from the Maldives’ Adaptation Experience”, will share insights for both the nation and the global community.

President will also discuss the role of climate policies, international cooperation, and research partnerships. He will explain how the Maldives integrates scientific research, traditional ecological knowledge, and local experience into national adaptation strategies.

Joining him are Professor Marcel Robischon and Dr Axel Klie, who will explore the role of universities and research institutions in shaping effective climate action.

The session will highlight lessons for policy makers, academics, and international partners, showing how small island states can lead in climate adaptation.
