The Elections Commission (EC) has announced changes to the register of eligible voters for the upcoming local council and women’s development committee elections.
The EC said the voters list will be open for public complaints from January 28 until 3:00pm on February 8. Complaints must be submitted online through the commission’s portal, along with official documents supporting any requested changes.
Voting is scheduled for April 4, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. A total of 678 candidates will contest local council seats, with another 678 running for women’s development committee positions.
According to the EC, 249,937 voters are eligible to vote, including 144,527 women and 150,410 men.
