This year’s O’ Level examinations has begun across the Maldives, with more than 8,000 students sitting for the nationwide exams.
According to the Education Ministry, the examinations are being conducted at 267 centres across the country. This includes 21 centres in the Greater Malé Region and 246 centres in the atolls.
A total of 8,218 students are taking part in the examinations, which will continue until March 6. Last year, O’ Level exams were held in two sessions, between February to March and April to May.
The start of the examinations comes shortly after schools reopened, with more than 80,000 students returning to classes following the long holiday break.
