Construction has begun on a new health centre in Hulhudheli, Dhaalu Atoll, aimed at expanding healthcare services for island residents.
The project was inaugurated by Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, alongside MTCC Chief Operating Officer Sinan Ali, members of the Hulhudheli Council and senior government officials.
Under the project, a 4,905-square-foot building will be added to the health centre, along with an enclosure wall and portico. A 225-square-foot pharmacy will also be developed. The project, valued at MVR 10.06 million, is scheduled for completion within 720 days.
Once completed, the upgraded facility is expected to enhance healthcare services for Hulhudheli’s population of around 900 residents, allowing them to access care without leaving the island.
