The Ministry of Sports has signed an agreement with Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) to develop multi-sports complexes in Hulhumalé Phase 1 and Phase 2.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony held yesterday, with MACL CEO Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed signing on behalf of the company and Sports Minister Abdulla Rafiu signing for the ministry.
The project aligns with a presidential pledge of former President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to establish fitness and recreation centres in all inhabited islands of the Maldives by 2026.
