Ahmed Shaheed, known as Shahyd Legacy, has exited popular Maldivian band 2ofus, citing allegations of fraud and lack of financial transparency.
In a statement, Shaheed said the decision came after careful thought and was driven by unpaid compensation and transparency issues. He said the band’s musical direction no longer matched his creative identity and described the setup as lacking collaboration and respect.
Despite the split, Shaheed said he remains proud of the band’s success, including their run on Battle of Bands International, and wished the remaining members well as he moves on with renewed focus on his music.
