Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has said Malé City needs a mayor who can work at the same speed as President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to deliver fast results.
Speaking at the opening of PNC candidate Moosa Ali Jaleel’s campaign office, Latheef said Malé’s problems require urgent action.
He pointed to congestion, traffic, and limited space as key challenges.
“We need a mayor who moves at the President’s speed,” he said.
Latheef urged city councils to work with the government, not against it. He said obstruction only delays progress.
He praised Moosa Ali Jaleel’s commitment and said he can work alongside President Muizzu to bring rapid change to Malé City.
