President Dr. Mohamed Muizz  says the Maldives is committed to creating a society where no one is left behind, highlighting the importance of Braille in empowering the visually impaired.

In a post on X for World Braille Day, the President said the government’s policies are guided by compassion. He emphasized that Braille provides educational opportunities, helping visually impaired people gain independence and human dignity.

“An inclusive society is one where information and opportunities are shared equally, without barriers,” the President added.

World Braille Day, celebrated every January 4, raises awareness of the power of Braille in promoting accessibility and participation for all.
