Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has warned that any business operating at Velana International Airport without a permit will face legal action.
MACL said permits will be issued under specific policies to regulate businesses and services at the airport. Any unpermitted operations will be dealt with under the law, in coordination with relevant security authorities.
The company stressed it will not be responsible for any losses suffered by unauthorized businesses. The move aims to protect tourists, maintain service quality, and ensure safety at VIA.
