More than 60 percent of Maldivian voters approve of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s performance, according to a new opinion poll by the Baani Centre.
The poll found that 62 percent of voters either approve or strongly approve of the President’s job performance. Thirty eight percent disapproved, giving President Muizzu a net approval rating of +24 points.
Among supporters, 21 percent strongly approve, while 41 percent approve, showing moderate but broad support. Women showed slightly higher approval than men, while rural voters backed the President more than urban voters.
Support was strongest among older voters. Sixty seven percent of those aged 55 and above approved of the President. Approval dropped among younger voters, with only 50 percent of those aged 18–24 expressing support.
The Baani Centre conducted the poll between 23 November and 1 December 2025, surveying 391 voters through random telephone interviews. The poll has a 5 percent margin of error and a 95 percent confidence level.
