Singapore Airlines has officially started operating from the new Passenger Terminal 1 at Velana International Airport.
MACL held a special ceremony to mark the launch. Dhiraagu CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed attended the event.
Singapore Airlines opened dedicated check-in counters at Terminal 1. MACL presented gifts to all 205 departing passengers.
The airline’s first arrival, flight SQ432, brought 244 passengers to the Maldives. They received a warm welcome with traditional cultural performances.
The flight operated using an Airbus A350, marking the first A350 aircraft to be welcomed at Terminal 1.
