The Chinese Embassy in Malé has hosted a reception on December 1 to honour Maldivian participants of the 2025 China–Maldives Human Resources Training Program.
The Chinese Embassy in the Maldives hosted the reception at the Embassy premises, bringing together over 100 Maldivian participants of this year’s training programs. Chinese Ambassador Kong Xianhua, Additional Secretary Javed Faizal, and senior officials attended the event.
Ambassador Kong highlighted the outcomes of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He said China is committed to sharing governance experience and supporting Maldivian development through long-running training programs. He encouraged participants to apply their new knowledge to national development and to help strengthen China–Maldives cooperation.
Javed Faizal thanked China for providing consistent training opportunities and expressed hope that more Maldivians would join future programs.
Deputy Minister Zulaikha Rafeeu, MP Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim, and other participants shared their learning experiences. Two Maldivian speakers who studied in China also spoke about their academic journeys.
The event featured lively exchanges and showcased the close friendship between the two countries. Major Maldivian media outlets covered the reception.
