Fenaka Corporation has suspended water bills for Fuvahmulah City as the island continues to face a major water contamination crisis.
Fenaka confirmed today that it will not charge residents for November’s water bills. The decision follows last month’s contamination of the island’s water system.
The Fuvahmulah branch said staff are working around the clock to fix the issue and restore safe, reliable service. The corporation is also upgrading the water network to tackle long-standing problems, including shortages and low pressure.
Meanwhile, the government continues to supply drinking water by sea and air, with the MNDF providing logistical support to ensure the city receives essential assistance.
