President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged the nation to strengthen efforts to protect women and girls from all forms of violence, including growing risks online.

The President delivered the message today on X, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. He said every woman and girl deserves safety and security.

Muizzu warned that as technology connects people, online harassment and exploitation are increasing. He called on the public to ensure new technologies uplift and empower women and girls.

He said the country must work together to create a safe digital and physical environment. He stressed that protecting women is essential for national progress.
