President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says Hulhumalé Phase 3 reclamation will finish by the end of next month.
The President announced the update on X. He said the new dredger will begin work tomorrow. He expects the Phase 3 reclamation to wrap up next month.
He also confirmed plans for Giravaru. Workers will start building the bund wall once the EIA and other requirements are complete. After Phase 3 is reclaimed with three dredgers, two will move to the Giravaru reef project.
The TSHD Prince der Nederlanden is already in the Maldives. The Boskalis vessel weighs 23,985 tons. It can dredge from depths of up to 100 meters.
