Out of 56 ambulances planned for the Maldives, the first 18 have completed inspections and are ready to be transported to the country.
The inspections were conducted in Dubai by teams from Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) and the Ministry of Health. MPL stated that the inspections ensure the ambulances meet all required standards before arrival.
The Ministry of Health said the ambulances are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s health system and improve emergency response services.
The remaining 38 ambulances are expected to be brought to the Maldives as soon as possible.
