The Prosecutor General’s Office has dropped all fraud charges against Alhan Fahmy after confirming that every victim in the investment scheme he was accused in had been repaid.
The case involved an investment scheme accused of defrauding investors and laundering money. Alongside Alhan, Shazbaan Fahmy of S. Feydhoo and Sahban Fahmy of M. Finivaage, 2nd Part faced 13 fraud charges at the Criminal Court on November 23, 2023.
The defendants asked the PG Office to review the charges after settling payments to all 13 victims. Police confirmed the repayments, and the victims said they did not wish to proceed.
As all compensation was made and no public interest remained, the PG Office closed the case. Investigations continue into other individuals linked to the scheme.
