Construction has begun in K. Thulusdhoo on three major projects to upgrade the island’s public services and infrastructure.

The two-storey hospital will have 37 beds and cover 18,612 sq ft, along with a service block and two staff accommodation buildings. MTCC will complete the MVR 110.71 million project in 600 days.

Work has also started on a 4,000 sq ft fitness and recreation centre worth MVR 5.34 million, expected to be completed within 240 days.

Construction of a new police station is underway as well. The MVR 38.91 million project includes administrative offices, detention facilities, and a garage, with completion due in 360 days.

Cabinet ministers, MPs, MTCC Managing Director Ahmed Saudhee, and Thulusdhoo Council members attended the groundbreaking ceremonies.

The projects will strengthen healthcare, enhance safety, and create more recreational spaces for Thulusdhoo residents.
