Maldives Airports Company Limited has launched its preparations for this year’s peak travel season to ensure smooth and efficient airport operations.
MACL held a key coordination meeting on October 25, 2025. Senior officials and department heads attended. They discussed expected challenges and proposed solutions. They also explored how departments can support each other to maintain uninterrupted services.
Chief Commercial Officer Mohamed Mihaad opened the meeting. He said MACL must always be ready as a service provider. He stressed that peak season preparation is the most important meeting held at MACL. He called for improved service levels and stronger teamwork. He also said employees, resources, and work mindset must adapt to rising demand.
The cool season and New Year period bring the highest passenger traffic each year. VIA handled 7,558 flights last peak season. MACL now aims to speed up services and enhance the traveler experience for the upcoming rush.
