Road Recreation Club (RRC) has won the Club Maldives Cup 2025. The team beat STO Recreation Club 7–5 in a thrilling final held last night in Malé.
RRC dominated early. Ali Shamis (Thoppey) scored two first-half goals assisted by Iraqi forward Mohsen Montazemi. Montazemi earned Player of the Match. STO’s Al Khodadadi pulled one goal back before halftime, assisted by Ali Haisam (Chumpu).
RRC kept control in the second half. Montazemi scored again, assisted by goalkeeper Mohamed Lufshan. An STO own goal widened the gap. Ahmed Aflaaz scored two more. Adam Nasih added the seventh.
STO fought hard. Ismail Easa (Messi) scored twice in the final minutes. Imran Mohamed (Immi) added one more. Ali Ifaaz assisted the last two goals.
This marks RRC’s third CMC title and their second major trophy this season after winning the Kings Cup. Only the sector league remains in the Club Maldives calendar.
