President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to address the urgent needs of L. Mundoo, including improvements to the harbor, as part of next year’s national budget.
The announcement came during a consultative meeting at Mundoo School today. Residents, the Island Council, and heads of local institutions attended.
The Island Council highlighted that the harbor is the island’s most pressing need. Residents also requested better health services and a women’s volleyball court.
In response, the President said that within the next two years, sports facilities will be built, the health center will receive new testing equipment, and Mundoo School will be air conditioned.
Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu added that the school’s hall will be tiled, furniture replaced, and the building renovated.
The President engaged with the community, listening to concerns and exchanging ideas on social and infrastructure development projects.
