President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Sh. Noomaraa Island Council and local representatives to discuss key development priorities for the island.
The meeting took place at the Noomaraa Council Secretariat. Council members raised the island’s most urgent needs, including coastline protection, road upgrades, and a new beach and boat docking area. They also requested a change in the RTL travel route to improve connectivity.
Members highlighted the need for a library and a multipurpose school hall. They also called for improved laboratory services at the island’s health centre.
President Muizzu assured that the Government would address these concerns and give them due consideration. Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State Owned Enterprises joined the meeting. They provided updates on current and planned development projects for Noomaraa.
The discussion reflected the Government’s commitment to accelerating regional development and improving the quality of life across local communities.
