President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has condemned Israel for stopping the Global Freedom Flotilla carrying aid to Gaza.
President Muizzu called Israel’s actions in international waters unacceptable. He said the attack targeted humanitarian aid to people in distress. He added that such acts violate humanity and international law.
The President criticized Israel for isolating itself from other nations. He said the country shows a lack of respect for human dignity and compassion. He urged the international community to stop these repeated inhumane acts.
About 500 activists joined the Freedom Flotilla, including MPs, lawyers, and Maldivians. Lawyers on board plan to document Israel’s actions and submit evidence to the International Court of Justice.
Organizers said Israeli forces boarded and stopped 13 vessels. Another 30 ships are still heading to Gaza.
