President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged swift action to deliver key development projects in M. Dhiggaru.
He assured residents that the housing project will begin this year, with more units than initially promised. The project will also align with the government’s population consolidation plan.
The president announced that harbor development will start early next year. He also unveiled plans for a new Dhiggaru School building, featuring nine classrooms and a multipurpose hall.
The President pledged to restart the stalled football ground and Fitness and Recreation Center projects, and promised a new volleyball court for the island.
Highlighting Dhiggaru’s role as a fishing hub, Muizzu said his government will provide new facilities to strengthen the local industry.
