President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged that construction of F. Magoodhoo Airport will be completed within one year.
During a meeting with residents, people urged the President to ensure steady progress. Muizzu assured them the project would be finished on schedule as planned.
He also promised to begin practical work on the island’s school multipurpose hall and health center before the end of this year. Harbor upgrades, he said, will be included in the 2026 state budget.
During the visit, the President inaugurated a Bank of Maldives ATM service in Magoodhoo. He also laid the foundation for a Fitness and Recreation Center, the new Council Office, and a Police Post.
