RTL Ferry Service Launched in Thaa Atoll

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has deployed speed ferries to Thaa Atoll to kickstart the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) service.

MTCC began the RTL project in 2022 to connect islands through a nationwide transport network.

The Maldives has been divided into six zones under this project. RTL service has already launched in 11 atolls.

To start service in Thaa Atoll, MTCC has now stationed ferries in the region. Before launching, the company runs awareness programs to inform residents about routes and schedules.

Residents rely heavily on the RTL ferries for daily travel and inter-island connectivity.
