President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has returned to Malé after attending the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on September 15.
At the summit, President Muizzu condemned Israel’s attack on Qatar, describing it as a crime against humanity and a direct assault on peace. He pledged that the Maldives will always stand in solidarity with Qatar.
During a meeting with Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, The President offered condolences for lives lost in the aggression and thanked Qatar for its support to the Maldives. Both leaders also discussed boosting cooperation.
The summit, attended by OIC member states, focused on condemning Israel’s actions, safeguarding Palestinian rights, and urging stronger international measures for peace and security.
