The Government of the Maldives has stated that it strongly condemns Israel’s attack on Qatar, calling it “brutal” and a blatant violation of international law. Maldivian authorities described the assault as a “cowardly” act that severely infringes upon Qatar’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
Israel’s repeated acts of aggression in the region undermine regional security, escalate tensions, and severely obstruct prospects for stability and peace.
The Maldives also stated that it stands firmly with the people and government of Qatar and urges the international community to act decisively to hold Israel accountable for its violations of international law and the UN Charter.
