Mohamed Firzul Abdulla Khaleel has been appointed as the Board Member and Managing Director of Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited, following the resignation of Mohamed Shakeel.
Shakeel stepped down after Parliament approved his appointment as a member of the Elections Commission (EC).
Before his new role, Firzul served as the Under Secretary for Public Policy at the President’s Office and was also the spokesperson for the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC).
The 32-year-old holds a degree in Sharia and Law from Al-Azhar University in Egypt and previously served as President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s spokesperson during the presidential transition. He also played a prominent role as the PNC’s spokesperson during the recent local council elections.
