President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the Maldives National Defence Force’s School of Engineering and Logistics in B. Kihaadhoo.
Defence Force. According to the Defence Ministry, it is the first institution of its kind in the Maldives aimed at training skilled MNDF personnel.
Officials said the centre was established to strengthen technical skills while supporting the President’s “Dhivehi Watanee Seva” programme. Currently, 65 students from 35 islands are undergoing training in areas including automobile engineering, marine engineering, electricity and refrigeration, welding and office management.
The four-month programme is designed to prepare students for the job market while also focusing on discipline, ethics and religious awareness. Senior government and MNDF officials attended the ceremony.
