MPL has cleared 63,563 perishable cargo packages during the weekly reporting period from May 3 to May 9.
According to the latest weekly statistics released by Maldives Ports Limited, a total of 63,563 perishable cargo packages were cleared during the week, alongside continued cargo and vessel operations at the port.
Container operations recorded 1,423 TEUs unloaded and 2,018 TEUs loaded, bringing total throughput to 3,441 TEUs. During the same period, four container vessels and eight general cargo vessels arrived at the port, while four container vessels and four general cargo vessels departed.
Cargo clearance also reached 36,810.46 freight tonnes for container vessels and 3,577.43 tonnes for general cargo vessels. MPL said 1,413 container consignments and 453 general cargo consignments were cleared during the week.
