President Welcomed in Sri Lanka

The ceremony, held at the Presidential Secretariat, marked the start of his State Visit to Sri Lanka. He was received by Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Proceedings included a gun salute and Guard of Honour by the Sri Lankan Tri-Forces, followed by the introduction of delegations from both countries.

First Lady Sajidha Mohamed and senior Maldivian officials attended the ceremony. The two Presidents later held a photo session and the President signed the Visitors Book.

Officials said the visit reflects continued diplomatic ties between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
