flydubai has announced the launch of cargo flights to the Maldives.
The service will operate from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport to Velana International Airport starting Thursday. Flights will run until April 29 under a cargo-in-cabin arrangement.
Authorities approved the operations to help ease supply disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict.
Officials said the flights are expected to support the transport of essential goods, particularly for the tourism sector. The government is also working with airlines to reduce the impact on supply chains.
