73% Voter Turnout Recorded

Over 200,000 people has voted in the local council and WDC elections, with turnout reaching 73 per cent.

The Elections Commission has said 214,898 voters participated in the elections out of 253,714 eligible voters. Turnout this year is six percentage points higher than the 2021 local council elections.

Authorities have said the increase reflects stronger public participation in the electoral process.
