The Elections Commission has extended voting hours until 5 p.m. due to heat and long queues.
Polling, which began at 8:00 a.m., was extended to allow more voters to cast their ballots.
EC statistics show 131,947 people have voted so far, representing 44.75 per cent of eligible voters. A total of 294,876 people are eligible to vote, with over 63,000 women and 68,000 men having participated so far.
Authorities have said the extension aims to ease crowding and ensure all voters have the opportunity to vote.
