62,000 Votes Cast by Noon

The Elections Commission has said 62,083 voters participated by midday, representing 21.05 per cent of the electorate.

Voters are being issued three ballot papers for the local council, WDC elections and the referendum, with each ballot placed in its designated box. A total of 294,876 people are eligible to vote, including over 144,000 women and 150,000 men.

EC statistics show more than 28,000 women and 33,000 men have voted so far.
