A total of 161,259 tourists has visited the Maldives in March, the government has said.
Total arrivals for the year reached 643,218, marking a one per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
Arrivals rose in January and February but declined in March. Authorities have linked the drop to flight cancellations amid the Middle East conflict.
China, Russia, the UK, Italy and Germany remain the top source markets.
Most tourists have stayed at resorts, while others chose guest houses. The majority of visitors arrived by air.
