BML Expands Branch Network

The President launched new branches across six islands and introduced 90 new ATMs nationwide.

The rollout includes 70 US dollar ATMs and 20 Maldivian rufiyaa ATMs. Authorities aim to improve access to banking services across the country. The initiative follows efforts to provide ATM services on every inhabited island. The programme was completed in 2025.

Officials have said the expansion will make banking services more accessible for residents.
