Aasandha has allowed prescription glasses to be made at 18 locations under the national health insurance scheme.
Aasandha Company said the move aims to improve public access to prescription glasses.

The government has also increased benefits under the Aasandha scheme. Coverage for prescription glasses has doubled from MVR 1,000 to MVR 2,000 every two years.
