The ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) has officially opened its newly expanded and modernised main headquarters.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated the upgraded building at a ceremony held in Malé. The premises, previously used by the MDP and The Democrats, became PNC’s base in July 2024.
The party has since redeveloped the facility into a four-storey office building. The expansion increases office space and improves facilities for party operations.
Speaking at the ceremony, PNC Primary Leader Falah said the new building will house both the party office and event spaces. As part of the upgrade, the former Thum Café area was removed to create more space.
A large LED screen has also been installed on the front wall of the building facing the artificial beach, further modernising the venue.
