Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded land reclamation and coastal protection projects across seven islands.
The projects will be implemented in N. Henbadhoo, N. Holhudhoo, N. Maalhendhoo, N. Bandidhoo, H. A. Vashafaru, G. A. Kanduhulhudhoo, and R. Alifushi.
The works include land reclamation, dredging, revetment and groin construction, breakwaters, and harbor facilities. Project values range from MVR 63.62 million to MVR 242.65 million, with completion periods between 160 and 720 days.
The Holhudhoo project, valued at MVR 103.28 million, includes land reclamation, coastal defenses, mooring buoys, streetlights, and harbor infrastructure, to be completed within 450 days.
MTCC has also been awarded the Alifushi Industrial Zone project, valued at MVR 106.14 million. The project covers land reclamation, lagoon and canal dredging, revetment works, and harbor facilities, and will be completed within 450 days.
