WAMCO has approved a reduction in waste disposal fees for small and medium-sized enterprises, with the changes taking effect from February 1.
WAMCO announced the decision following directives from President Dr. Mohamed Waheed, in line with a pledge by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to ease the financial burden on SMEs.
The company said the revised fees will take effect from February 1. It is also working on a new banded pricing system to offer further reductions based on business size.
WAMCO said details of the new fee bands will be announced in the coming days, as part of efforts to support SMEs and improve waste management services nationwide.
