President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says young people working at resorts near their home islands will be prioritised in upcoming government housing projects.
Speaking at the Youth Coffee with the President session last night, he said housing shortages remain a major challenge for youth, especially those in the tourism sector who live far from their families.
The President said some of the 800 plus housing units planned across the atolls will be reserved for tourism workers. Priority will also extend to youth in fisheries and those starting families, including projects in the Malé region.
