President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu attended the signing ceremonies for two major development projects in Fuvahmulah City  a new classroom building and a skate park.

The ceremonies were held today in Fuvahmulah, with cabinet ministers, MPs, city council members, and senior officials in attendance.

For the school project, Minister of State for Education Dr. Abdul Lateef Mohamed signed on behalf of the Education Ministry, while MTCC Managing Director (Retired) Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Saudi signed for MTCC.

The project includes a four-story, 16-classroom building covering 16,272 square feet. It is valued at MVR 19.79 million and will be completed within 360 days.

For the skate park project, Minister of Sports Abdullah Rafiu signed for the ministry. The 8,000-square-foot facility, worth MVR 1.39 million, will be completed in 150 days.

President Muizzu’s presence underscored his administration’s focus on improving education and youth facilities in Fuvahmulah, home to more than 14,000 residents.
